forcing gamepad usage instead of just letting me use my pro controller in certain places like system management, youtube, eshop, etc. since i got my pro I've just been playing games with it.

my only real complaint. im really glad i bought it. I'm in love with DKC: Tropical Freeze and The Wonderful 101. The Wind Waker HD is beautiful too. can't wait for Bayonetta 2, X, Mario Kart and Zelda HD.

and yeah being able to play those Wii games I skipped after i sold it is nice. I bought Xenoblade Chronicles a couple days ago and am now waiting for the controllers to come in the mail(one of my issues with the Wii) gonna pick up The Last Story eventually and some others.

U gotta be joking? :wtf: u can't buy a wi u touchpad remote?
most games barely make notable use of it. i don't think the system even allows 2 to be synced at the same time. so far no games even have 2 pads as an option either.

DKC turns the gamepad screen off, NSMBU shows the same thing thats on TV. The Wonderful 101 has certain spots where it is used in missions. ZombiU, which requires the pad, uses it in cool ways.

Mario Kart 8 doesn't really use it(they put a horn on it and i think a map that shows what items others have), Smash likely won't, Bayonetta 2 has it where when you play OffTv you can fight using touch contols...but why would you.
once again, i prefer the Pro although i have no problem using the pad if its the better option.

So if my touchpad breaks can I get one from Nintendo atleast?

yeah, if its still within the warranty period its free. outside of it...no idea. if they sold the pad by itself it would be at the LEAST $100.

at the current moment a gamepad-less Wii U isn't even possible. you need the pad to set up the system when you start it.

Yo that Zombi U game is legit. It has its flaws but I'm about 10 hours into the game and its dope.
That's the problem I don't really see any games I wanna play.

I enjoyed Mario I beat it in a month and a half or sumn and I bought DK when it came out and beat the first boss but never picked it up again. I should probably get around to that since I'm running out of PS4 games to play but these nintendo games just doesn't feel the same as it used to when I was a kid. :sadcam:
Its def understandable breh. If you dont like it sell it and pick one up down the line for the low later this gen. I guarantee you you'll be able to get a good deal around Black Friday and the holidays

I enjoy mine and most of the more notable games will be hitting this year. There's still a bunch of games I still need to get that already dropped. I was looking on Amazon the other week and at games I had already copped and realized I actually have a Wii U backlog.

This shyt is so weird.
They raised development costs for both 1st and 3rd party devs, but have no creative ideas on what to do with the hardware they chose, which is the differentiating factor between them in the competition .:what: They got me blowing on this controller in 3d World :sadcam:. The games by 3rd party devs like Zombi U, Rayman Legends, and The Wonderful 101 seem to use the hardware better for whatever reason.

and Nintendo TVii is pointless. really could have kept that. it extra slow to start.

but the TV controls were a nice lil thing to add to the gamepad.
