Myspace ruined Myspace. They gave people too many customizable options. nikkas posting 3 music players, 3 video players, HD wallpapers, a gang of photos, it would take 5 minutes to load and God forbid you got your speakers high and the music players start blasting music at the same time.

Facebook succeeded because there are no real page customizing options so people spend more time interacting with each other vs hours spent dressing up HTML heavy myspace pages.

I had many hispanic friends...so hearing "Gasolina" play and I can't find the fukking video to pause it, the webpage taking ages to SCROLL thanks to a million little cartoon dominican/puerto rican flags with diamonds glistening...goddamn. I kinda miss that shyt, but not how obsessed it made me with checking for who was adding me. I refused to friend people, so I was
waitingI was trying to get chose like a woman. I can't engage with social media like that. Its so lame to me now.

But MySpace was catered to us blackplanet was what the grown folks was on.

Myspace was honestly better then Facebook minus the annoying customized pages. Myspace had the best chat and forum of other websites at the time.
