Mysterio ready to leave??

Several weeks ago here on the website, we noted that Rey Mysterio's WWE contract had expired but WWE renewed it for another year because there is a clause that allows them to renew contracts if the talent misses time due to injuries or other things.

With that being said, Mysterio is still under WWE contract but no return date has been set as of this writing. We're also told that Rey has stopped cashing any of the checks the company has sent him over the last few weeks. That is usually a prelude to action being taken to get out of the deal.


Rey's WWE contract actually expired several months ago, but the company renewed it for another year as they feel he "owes" them as noted above.

As with Punk, I actually really want to see this challenged (I'm not sure that there's a sports league that does this), so I hope that Rey does press them to get out of the deal.
