The term "many men" can include superficial men without using that adjective. Even if all men that put looks over personality are superficial, that doesn't make a statement without that adjective incorrect.

Regardless, I don't see any issue with looks/personality being 1/2 in priority as long as the person is strong in BOTH.

Yes, I would take a woman with 10 looks and 8 personality over a woman with 8 looks and 9 personality. But if she ain't at least a strong 7 in both categories, she's in the bushes.
