gta 3 changed my life breh.

I had quit playing video games because I thought they were for kids until I played GTA 3.... that shyt damn near made the American mainstream adult game market alongside Halo.

Naughty Dog, Bioware and CD Project to name a few. Rock star haven't done anything to move away from the pack of top tier developers. Especially in the last 15 years...

Epic Games gets a surreptitious nod because they made one of my ALL TIME favourite games, Unreal Tournament 2004. It was so ground breaking to me at the time
and Gears is obviously no slouch either

When you compare their top franchises (GTA vs AC) it's simply not fair. Both reviews and sales give the GTA series a blowout W.

Since the jump to 3D, all main GTA releases have always been scored in the high 90's. AC on the other hand goes from great to average too often.

GTA series has 220 million sales worlwide. AC has 73 million.

Gta 3 laid the foundation.

Square enix is underrated as shyt when it comes to making sandbox GTA style games. Dues Ex, Sleeping Dogs, Just Cause, the very first Batman Akham Asylum game etc.

Yeah but Square Enix made all of them games. Square Enix was on some co partnership crap with them other companies.

Rockstar gave the industry a style to run with when they released GTA 3

It wasn't the 1st sandbox game ever but the amount of developers who have been eating off the open world crime genre since GTA 3 is big.

Everytime I listen to Game Radio it takes me right back to 2001, shyt is powerful.

Agree with OP, although GTA V was a disappointment IMO and the fact that they've basically said GTA Online is the priority from now on means the GTA series has just started it's decline.

Tbh it's still worth getting, if you like Grand Theft Auto you'll still find it enjoyable.

But it was just really over hyped and not as good a lot of people thought it would be.

Yeah Just Cause 3 looks like it's gonna be a much better game.
