Moses Fleetwood Walker. First (openly) black athlete to play in major league baseball, playing in the majors about 60 years before Jackie Robinson. Obviously went through a lot of shyt in his years playing. Has a pretty interesting life after his career as well. Managed to be found not guilty by an all-white jury after fatally stabbing a white man in self defense after he was racially insulted and attacked. That was in the late 19th century so that by itself is fukking crazy. Also published a book on race theory and black nationalism.
