I'm personally surprised Mortal Kombat is still around. Of course MK made a major impact on the culture I never imagined it to be one of the most sucessful fighting game franchise to date. I thought the series would have died along with midway after the ps2 era. Since imo those ps2 MK games were mediocre to wack.

Kirby is another one I mean I love the games but out of all of the nintendo franchises I would've never thought nintendo would show so much love him. This nikka got bucoo games, a cafe,anniversary celebrations, and consistent output of games but f-zero and metroid can barely get a twitter mention

. Those games must be popular in Japan or mad cheap to make for him to last this long.
