I'm personally surprised Mortal Kombat is still around. Of course MK made a major impactt on the culture I never imagined it to be one of the most sucessful fighting game franchise to date. I thought the series would have died along with midway after the ps2 era. Since imo those ps2 MK games were mediocre to wack.

Kirby is another one I mean I love the games but out of all of the nintendo franchises I would've never thought nintendo would show so much love him. This nikka got bucoo games, a cafe, anniversary celebrations, and consistent output of games but f-zero and metroid can barely get a twitter mention

. Those games must be popular in Japan or mad cheap to make for him to last this long.

I dunno what y'all think?:jbhmm:
Pretty sure kirby is like, the creator's avatar or something.
And yeah they're super cheap to make, that's why Kirby exists in the first place lol. "We need a character, how about a circle..."
Originally Kirby was gonna be yellow :leon: and yellow kirby shows up in super smash bros

I guess I'm still surprised they make new WWE games because if you've played one of them you've played them all. I wish they'd make that shyt better.

I somewhat agree with you OP about MK. Only thing is the fighting genre doesn't really have that many franchise in it that have made an impact. There's really only a handful of significant franchises in the fighting genre (MK, Street Fighter, Smash Bros, Tekken, Soul Caliber, etc). MK games keep selling simply because of name recognition and them being the most prominent name in the genre alongside Street Fighter.
