KD lit Kawhi ass up the previous year when he was in OKC.

Kawhi being able to guard him is a myth.

This doesnt mean CP3 can guard him. KD scored the most points in WCF history against him. Plus he was lighting his ass up when OKC was playing the Clippers. CP3 cant guard him at all, he might get a possession or 2 where KD doesnt score but hes not giving him "fits".

Tony Allen was the best answer given in this thread and even he was getting 30 to 40 put on his head a night, he could affect KD's efficiency but he still was getting buckets dropped on him.

KD is even better now than then, and nobody has been able to do a good job on him.

shorter guys that can hold their ground and get under him like Cp3 and Tony allen are the types that give Durant fits.

CP3 can’t really guard him. He can get tough and be physical, get under him, get some strips, maybe force some lucky misses but once KD puts him in the midpost he’s hitting the shot more times than not.

Kidd also did a good job in the ‘11 WCF. This guy is really just unguardable though honestly.

This dude was literally the only player I see give Durant fits like this. Tony was smart because he figured out quick that only way to play great D on Durant is to deny him the ball and have quick hands by not allowing him to get off his shooting motion effectively.. Kawhi has played some good D on Durant, but not at this level.
