️baseball-Toronto blue jays 1994-2014. Right After their 1993 World Series championship until the 2015 season, they missed the playoffs for 21 straight seasons. And during this long period, the Red Sox and the Yankees were dominating the AL East and baseball world in general, year in and year out. Being in the AL East division obviously didn’t help them.
Hockey-Toronto maple leafs 2004-2013. 9 straight seasons without playoffs
2004-23 playoff series drought : 19 years without winning one single playoff round
Hockey- Buffalo sabres 2011 to now( they haven’t made the playoffs since 2011)
Hockey-Florida panthers 1996-2022
Arizona cardinals with the exception of the Kurt Warner era
Jacksonville jaguars with the exception of the 2017 season
Cleveland browns in general
Detroit lions 1992- 2023( last year run to the NFC brought them out of irrelevancy)
NE patriots before brady(yeah i know they went to the superbowl in 1985 and 1995, but they were irrelevant locally and nationally. They were 4th in Boston/ New England ( who is not a football crazy region to begin with ) far behind the Red Sox , Celtics and even bruins. The successful Brady/Beli era and the 6 Lombardi championship trophies they won in the 21st century really elevated their brand and solidified their status in the football world.
