Yeah but the conversation is about those who didn't take full advantage of it.
I'm a wu-tang Stan and definitely between 99 and now they haven't taken full advantage of their position, talent or legend imo.
And Larenz Tate should've been bigger than a recurring TV role.
I agree about Larenze Tate I was just answering the question about what he’d been up too. He didn’t drop off the face of the earth but he never became the household name it was looking like he was setup to become. He’s “Black Famous” but never truly crossed over.
Also with Wu-Tang you have to put a certain amount of perspective into their legacy. Its a NINE MAN GROUP! How
Many multi-member groups produce as many legit solo superstars as Wu-Tang has? Not even the Jacksons can say they spun off as many solo stars as Wu-Tang did. GZA, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, and ODB are legit hip hop stars. RZA and Method Man are legit cross over stars. Thats SIX members of a nine man group with classic solo LPs, Gold & Platinum plaques, movie roles, tv roles, their own biographical streaming series, documentaries, books, ACTION FIGURES, etc.
For Nine dudes who grew up dirt poor in the hood, I feel personally they took about as much advantage as was realistically possible. Hell their LOGO is the stuff of Hip Hop legend. They’re probably the most world renowned influential group in rap history (if you argued Outkast, depending on the day I might concede)
