This is really important right now. Much as I hate to concede on this...you have to be able to "speak properly"...and so many cannot.

I used to resent it but now not so much. In certain environments you should speak properly (or colloquially -- two way street ) if you want to be taken seriously. The problem is that speaking correctly is associated with being white among many black people. You've also got that dreaded "he speaks so well!" on the tip of certain white folk's tongues.

Those people don't matter too much to me any more though. What I say and how I say it represents me. if people attribute that to my race then that says a lot about them. If black men are going to make it they've got to turn down the 'me against the world' attitude and view themselves as a part of society. Many have. Don't fight the system,. you gotta fukk it. The system is just people and people love fukking.
