I reconfirmed that people don’t wash their ass and would rather beat the shyt out of each other for toilet paper instead of showering
True. Noticed this also. I swear to god my white manager sat me down last week and told me, " you know @CopiousX, this whole things isnt about washing hands at all. The real issue is people touching their face. Look at me, im not crazy about hand washing at all but at least i dont touch my face. See, im doing fine...:skip:"

I swear i look at this nasty b*stard like:mjtf:.

And he is not your typical ignorant person. This is a dude with a masters in compSci with his own software company on the side beyond the job. This dude can eloquently describe linear algebra formulas, but hasnt mastered kindergarten hygene.:dwillhuh:

I don't know if this is covid related but I learned that cacs have terrible hygiene.

They don't wash their hands, don't wash their legs or feet, walk around outside with no shoes and proudly tell people they don't bath unless it's necessary. I'm sure other races do that too but they have the decency to fake the funk literally.

I realized how unintelligent the American populace is a whole and how much power they have (a lot).

Andrew Yang was absolutely right about UBI even a couple of stimulus checks kept some people out of the whole.

People will get violent over the loss of even the basic necessities. People were almost fist fighting over toilet paper. My wife smartly buys the stuff by the pallet so we were fine but still.

I learned to appreciate my family more and the time I spend with my wife.

Being an aggressive optimist like I am has been REALLY challenging as over the last year and change.

I consider being a pessimist poisonous and thus I try to look for the good in people and situations at all times. Even when it doesn’t make sense. It keeps me sane.

I say all that to say this.

Watching Covid cause society as a whole remove their masks in public figuratively and literally and show who they all really are at their cores has made me question that belief system more than I can ever recall.

People fukking suck

not all.

But a LOT more than I’d allowed myself to open my eyes to

I've always known that our educational system is absolute trash; but goddamn it has failed our society massively. A good portion of our population is pretty dumb and it's partly because of how they just push people through K-12, and the cost of college keeps most folks out.

Also, we need to SERIOUSLY address the mental health crisis in this country.

That point you mentioned about the UK is a good one

Highest vaccination rates in the world I think, their reopening has been a success, and some of the best research has come out of there(mix-match of vaccines, extended duration between the first and second doses etc)
