I started out with nothing but West coast gfunk/gangsta rap

Then I went to nothing but East coast biggie/dmx/jayz type shyt

Then I became fascinated with rappers who rapped fast (bone thugs/Twista)

Then a phase of punchline rap (big l/fab)

Then I had a phase of underground rap only

Then a phase of conscious rap

Then I got into old school southern shyt (ugk/outkast)

Now I listen to a little of everything based on my mood at the time

97-2002...Mainly only bumped 2Pac and southern rappers (No Limit, Three 6 Mafia, Cash Money, Ludacris, Outkast, etc.) whatever my uncle bumped, that's what I listened to.

2003-2007...my "Real Hip-Hop" phase. The discovery of great East Coast rap (Nas, Jay, Biggie, Wu-Tang, AZ, Camron, Beanie Sigel, 50, Jadakiss, etc.). Living in a place where everybody's bumping Boosie, Gucci, Jeezy, and Snap music so I'm in constant debates callin nikkaz stupid and talkin about lyrics lol

2008 to 2013....The concept of of the "gangster/hardcore" rapper is dead at this point and I'm in college so it's a lot of Drake, Lupe, Kanye, Wale, KRIT. I've also grown dreadlocks and had a stoner period so a WHOLE lot Wiz and Curren$y.

2013 to 2016...Had a Houston phase. Only wanted to hear Swishahouse, Screwed Up Click, Street Military, Slim Thug, Chamillionaire, Paul Wall, Z-Ro, etc. Then a short drill rap phase (VERY short). Currently I'm a Westcoast wave (Lots of DJ Quik, Suga Free, Snoop, Death Row, Ruthless, etc.)

97-99 - pretty much whatever was on the radio.. Jigga, Nas, DMX, etc. Beginning of the Canibus stan era.

99-00 - Canibus/Rakim stannery but still listening to some more conscious stuff like Common, Mos Def, Reflection Eternal

01-03 - Underground only era. Was listening to shyt like Atmosphere, Aesop Rock, Sage Francis, etc

04-Present - I like what i like. I have to thank Get Rich or Die Trying for that. After that album I realized i could like whatever whether commercial or underground.

2006-2009: Dipset, lil wayne, and T.I mostly. and whatever was on the radio
2009-2011: My real hip hop +backpacker phase :scusthov:. Immortal Technique, diabolic, ATCQ, Cyne, lupe, hopsin, eminem, wale, drake, cole, cudi, some wiz and currensy i would go on youtube and call lil wayne, "lil Gayne" and i thought everything from the 90s was better. Sidenote: During this period i told a group of girls their taste in music was shytty cause they liked nicki minaj and that they need to listen to canibus :russ:.

2012-2013: Kanye and Drill, more drill and whole lot of kanye.
2014-now: Whatever makes me feel good:blessed:. I go from thug to Jay to Johnny Cinco to lauryn hill to dave east to the weeknd:yeshrug:

0-11 I listened to a lot of radio rap. 50. Eminem. Nelly. Ludacris. A bit of PAC and biggie too from my brother.

Around 12 my cousins in Miami put me onto Wayne. This was likey a year or two before tha Carter 3 dropped so nobody in my city was fukking with him.

Then tha Carter 3 dropped and everyone started dikkriding Wayne.

So from like 13-17 I listened to nothing but 90s nyc rap and PAC. I don't feel like I really missed shyt cuz the rap game was trash at that point.

18 I became a wanna be gangster got heavy into chief keef and that gbe shyt. So that really opened my ears to trap music and I haven't looked back since. Right now Im on thus young thug phase tbh.
