You need to listen to Three 6 Mafia/Prophet Posse from the 90s brah. Be blown awayDaps and rep.
The Infamous is close but there are still some jazzy and more upbeat sounding joints like Drink Away the Pain, Up North Trip, and Temperature's Rising. Even though the subject matter is still darker the production still sounds pretty colorful and lush.
Hell on Earth's production sounds like it's out of a nightmare, and it never lets up. There aren't even skits to break the tension. Even light hearted samples from Michael Jackson or The Jackson 5 are bent or twisted to sound like they're in the Upside Down. Musically a lot of the album is off-key and the production almost sounds broken and jagged. There's not one joint on there that sounds jazzy or uplifting at all.
Hell on Earth as far as production goes is in my top 5 most interesting sounding albums of any genre. There's never been anything like it before or since.
ill admit I slept on them. I’ll listen with open ears brehYou need to listen to Three 6 Mafia/Prophet Posse from the 90s brah. Be blown away
