I think the point is that a Mixtec from Puebla, MX is not entitled to Washoe land in Nevada. The Washoe would look at the Mixtec as an invader just like they would a European. So the point is that Mexicans moving into let’s say Kansas is not the original people getting their land back, it’s still an invasion to what was originally Kansa tribe land…it’s just that the invader may have a similar skin tone.
