Just curious why she's getting more respect than Scalia?

I guess she was never in a real position of power herself, just a position of influence?

Nancy played the celebrity First Lady role to perfection.
Aside from her "Just Say No" anti-drug campaign she really didn't go out of her way to be political at all while in the White House.
Her experience with the old school Hollywood studio system helped her out a lot with presenting the perfect image to the public so that she was generally well liked by both sides of the political aisle.
