But if you concede as much lowkey this wasn't a bad result for her this tournament Especially considering all the top ten players that crashed out

Nastia's 34 and carrying a few extra lbs but she's no slouch, and even pre-baby she was always a hard court player

Again conceding that she's cooked, if she still getting some endorsement/appearance money she could do way worse than make the mid rounds at the majors and make runs at the 1000/500 level for a few years

For sure, I agree 100%. She's pretty much one and done in every tournament these days, so with that reset expectation I think getting to the third round is a good look. Grass has never been her strong suit so that was a decent look pre or post meltdowns either way.

She fell off a cliff after the Osaka Barbies were announced and the pressure of being the focal point of the Tokyo Olympics. Aside from just being hard on herself I would have thought she'd take this third round exit as something to build on. fukking Coco lost in the first round.
