Naruto has too much filler… on second thought. They both do

One Piece. The first couple of story arcs are mid until Arlong shows up. Once you hit Alabasta the series goes from good to GOATED. One Piece is just a better written story than Naruto IMO. (Even though it’s not perfect, I’ll admit)

Naruto has the illest fights, but the storyline started falling off after the timeskip. I never liked how Naruto turned out to be the chosen one… IMO that completely defeats the whole point of his character arc in the first part (especially the fight with Neji). I also didn’t like how Sasuke took over the show while so many other dope supporting characters became irrelevant.

…And I’m generally tired of everyone claiming Naruto/DBZ as the GOAT anime just because that’s all they’ve seen

I haven't watched the One Piece anime since it was on Fox Kids on Saturday mornings. As far as Naruto, it would be soooo much better without all of the damn flashbacks in every episode. Especially in Shippuden. There were even episodes where there were flashbacks within a flashback. It was hella ridiculous. Also the filler episodes of young Naruto and Sasuke being shown for the 100th time. Why keep showing it? And I agree it should've ended with Pain.

Overall I'm going with Naruto due to watch-ability. I'm not going back to rewatching all of One Piece. Its a chore to do it with Naruto/Shippuden.

Naruto would’ve been #1 had Kishimoto not shat all over his characters. Everyone was there to simply make Naruto look better just like in DBZ and Goku. No one other than main character mattered and everything revolves around him.

Imagine if he decided to flesh out the Naruto world like Oda fleshed out the world of One Piece.
Imagine if Villege hidden in the clouds was fleshed out, imagine had he done more for the hyugas and uchihas. Rock Lee and other leaf characters could’ve had more love shown.

Boruto manga has been pretty good. Not because of him though. He's still a shyt character.

Facts. Notice how most of the people in here giving One Piece the have never actually put in the time to even attempt to read/watch it.
I can see the argument favoring Naruto if we're talking anime only... the OP anime fluctuates pretty heavily with its quality.
If we're talking about the manga, then there shouldn't even be a debate.

If you asked me this as a kid I would 100% say naruto. But since starting One piece two years ago, without a doubt its one piece. I tried rewatching naruto and it’s and slow af

You shouldn’t need 1,000+ episodes to get a point across. And from what I know due to research no major characters die so there’s no tension.
