Naruto doesn't have villains only antagonist who are mostly well-intentioned extremist.
the difference being a villain is a bad person who takes evil actions. an antagonist doesn't have to be a bad person.

I doubt he plays a part in the new series. I don't understand why this is even getting made because there were really no plot threads left in the original series that needed to be addressed but I'll hold out hope this is decent. Usually though when a sequel gets made and there's no established reason for making it the story suffers.good point.
