Hate Me Now was one of those records hated on at the time, but within a few years, away from all the controversy and the expectations, most people realized how dope it was. At the very least, you had to admit that Nas was spitting.
However, Nas sort of set himself up for the ill feelings towards it. He put out a complete throwback track with Premo and then followed it up with a song with the king of the shiny suits. It was almost some trolling shyt, TBH.
