i liked nas verse better

personally about 8 bars into jay verse, i didnt know what the hell he was talking about anymore. it felt all over the place, like he was trying to tell a story while throwing some subliminal clues to him and nas upbringing , and by the end of the verse it felt like shots being thrown to dame and what happened at roc a fella,

nas verse was more concise and clean. plus i dont like the sentiment of "black repubican" and nas screaming "black militant taking over the government" was for me

What the hell did Nas have to do with Jays verse it’s clearly about him and a close former friend. You not getting it is more on you than on Jay-z.

What’s Nas’s verse about according to you? Seeing how creative interpretation you had on Jays, it would be interesting to hear this.

Compare his flow on this to how he rhymed on The Dynasty Roc La Familia or the Blueprint. He had this soft whisper flow on this that doesn't suit him.
