One of the only “Nas picks bad beats” arguments I agree with. The stories Nas were telling were dope so I tried hard to love it but just can’t get into it.

…and I’m super duper critical about Nas and his beat selection. I like that kinda eery, creepy feel it has, it’s like he’s telling ghost stories or sumn, 
Always loved this song. There's so many similarities to the Jay-Z "Hollywood" song on Kingdom Come. Jay spoke on the bright lights of stardom while Nas spoke on the dark side of stardom.
Liked this back then in 2006. It's beat is pretty cheesy, but it has a certain kind of appeal for that time in Nas career.
The production can't channel the tension or darkness of his best work in storytelling. Like Undying Love, Blaze a 50, shyt like that. but it was a high porint on that album.
