In case you haven’t figured it out by now, Green Lantern is HOLDING. We’re just a few weeks into his #TBTRemastered series and he’s already dropped a couple of Jay Z standouts and a Busta Rhymes and Ghostface mixtape classic. Today he hits us with a freshly remastered, No DJ, download of “Cops Keep Firing” from 2008′s The ****** Tape.


This week’s #TbtRemastered…one of my favorites from the N&^*%R Tape (originally released in ’08)… for the mixtape, Nas game me a bunch of vocals from songs he wasn’t gonna use and i made new songs with those…”Cops Keep Firing” originally started as an extra verse he didn’t use on “Be A N*&^ too” …I made a new beat, added the scratch hook and when he heard it he did a new 2nd verse too it..up until now it’s only been available on that mixtape (with shout outs,drops, etc)..here it is, CDQ and re-mastered for heavy knock in your Beats be Dre’s…free download too..enjoy, my good ones!!!! #TbtRemastered —–Greenery

Shout out to Green Lantern!! I wish more DJ's would do this to their Nas tracks. Come on out and release the CD version. DJ Rhude did this a few years back with several of Nas's older unreleased tracks and I was grateful for it. I'd like to see Green release a few more Nas tracks and someones needs to also come up off Snitch Alibi, Who Are You, Colors, and everything else.

Off the ****** tape, though, I don't know what else Green actually did production on. I know he put the collection of tracks together though.
