Nas wasn't really a good father, and his relationship with Des depended on how he felt about her mother at the time.

When you aren't a good father, it is hard to control your kids, tell them what to do, or get them to respect your opinions on their life choices.

She also pops pills and is a major weed head. (Nas & Des as well)

When he was in school he fell in love with a girl who was a crack head, and used to get teased for loving her and being with her. He dropped out of school because of it.
