His only classics imo are
Illmatic
IWW
The Lost Tapes

The rest range from crap-great, but I personally don't consider any others classics.

My ranking of Nas' albums, which I know others won't agree with
1. Illmatic
2. It Was Written
3. The Lost Tapes
4. Stillmatic
5. I Am
6. God's Son
7. Hip Hop Is Dead
8. Nastradamus
9. Life Is Good
10. Steet's Disciple (would have been so much better cut down to 12 tracks or so)
11. ******

I would have God's Son in the 4.5 range. And drop Untitled to 4 mics

And I would have Hip Hop is Dead in the 3 range.

I remember Nas talking about putting out a Lost Tapes 2 but he had issues with the label and it never happened. I hope he doesn't keep those songs in the vault forever.

Insignificant posting from an insignificant poster
Illmatic is the only shoe in classic there. It Was Written is very, very close. It's Nas at his lyrical peak but IWW isn't an album I can bump front to back without skipping one or two songs.

The rest of his discography ranges from incredible (Stillmatic, Life is Good), to well not so good (Nastradamus). :manny:

Skipping one/two tracks doesn't negate an album from classic status.

Even my top 10 albums ever have skippable tracks.

Fluidity, although helps.. isn't make/break when it comes to classic status.

Stillmatic is more my flow. I want to like IWW so much but but I often find myself skipping through half the album. Sounds extremely dated:scusthov:

I respect your list even if I disagree but without a doubt Stillmatic is classic status even Jay would say that
