I remember Nas talking about putting out a Lost Tapes 2 but he had issues with the label and it never happened. I hope he doesn't keep those songs in the vault forever.

Illmatic is the only shoe in classic there. It Was Written is very, very close. It's Nas at his lyrical peak but IWW isn't an album I can bump front to back without skipping one or two songs.

The rest of his discography ranges from incredible (Stillmatic, Life is Good), to well not so good (Nastradamus).

Skipping one/two tracks doesn't negate an album from classic status.


Even my top 10 albums ever have skippable tracks.


Fluidity, although helps.. isn't make/break when it comes to classic status.

To be honest, I can...the same way I can see someone liking Hell On Earth over the The Infamous. Hell On Earth may not be as consistent but it still very,very good.

Stillmatic is more my flow. I want to like IWW so much but but I often find myself skipping through half the album. Sounds extremely dated
