that's what I was getting at

And there's plenty of stuff that leaked but still made albums, Including shyt from nas.

Back then, it was worse because leaks could hurt your album sales. Why pay $20 for songs you already heard for free? That's why Illmatic didn't sell as much as it could have because everybody had it before it came out.

The only time leaked songs stayed on albums is when it was too late to go back and change the track list. The Eminem Show was leaked in its entirety, so they had to move up the release date. Eminem was pissed about it and he called the Interscope offices screaming at them because he didn't know what to do.

The beats Alc was giving Nas in the early 00's sounded real futuristic...this, Book of Rhymes, Mastermind, original version of No Idea's Original

And this banger with Nas on the hook which I wish he had a verse on

Man..when Nas use to talk greasy on tracks..what a time to be alive..lol

ALC was hitting Nas with a lot of dope sh*t.

Later, he said he wished they did more. If Nas locked in with him today for a whole project, I would lose my mind. ALC's in his prime right now. If they ever decide to actually get in for an album, it's gonna be an instant classic. No doubt about that.

Yep Nas suffered a bunch of leaks throughout the 90’s-early 2000’s. Its why I am didn’t come out as intended to be a double album. Its why Gods Son release date was moved up to a Friday when albums back then released on Tuesdays. Leaks were a TRULY bad thing for an artist back then.

I think the last mainstream rapper who suffered on a big scale due to leaks was Lupe Fiasco in 06. He had to rework almost the entirety of Food & Liquor.

No more Hit Boy, lol.

:whoa:

But I don’t know why he hasn't done a whole album with Paul yet. He's one of those rare producers from the golden era that literally NEVER fell off. His beats today are still CRAZY! With all the history they have, they should've done that by now.
