Don’t get me wrong, I’d be tuned in if Nas and Preemo went on a press run leading up to the release of this long-awaited, highly-anticipated joint album

I would love to hear their thoughts on their finally collaborating for a full LP after this has been a big topic in hip-hop going back to the late 90s/early 00s

I would love to hear about the recording process and when they started and how they created the songs



But there’s a part of me that is cool if none of that happens and it almost feels fitting if they just let the music speak for itself

I don’t need any extra hype because I’ve been thinking about this for damn near 25 years

The rollout of this has essentially been Nas being featured on every project for the Legend Has It campaign which has created a buzz all year and is culminating in the release of his own full-length project with one of the best producers the game has ever seen

Still surreal that this is actually happening

Can’t wait to hear it

Feels like it’ll be a throwback given the visuals for the album and the “Day One” energy for the marketing around the physicals

I’m super encouraged after heading Preemo’s contributions to De La’s album

i b highly entertained with this thread, dudes acting like they cant believe it’s actually happening like this album was a surprise, mad that it’s one more track than what they expected, some mad that it’s too many tracks, some saying they will be mad if hitboy is on it making up off the wall scenarios. We about to be lit cuz that’s what makes these moments fun. trolls that are actually fans are already prepping, those that became fans after ether and were actually jay stans are about to be disappointed and you will notice in their responses to the album still fronting like it’s the best thing they ever heard. What? He did it on the clipse album when he was featured. Cut off Pharrell's beat mid song and threw on a Hitboy produced nas verse. So this theory isn't far fetched

I bet if Nas did a random pop up, With vinyls available for sale and signed he could def sell a good amount. I don’t know why artist don’t do that. I would find vinyl stores and set up pop ups. Similar to how they used to do CDs back in the day.

The album will consist of historically unreleased and fresh tracks dating back to approximately 2006 — that’s nearly 20 years ago. This means unfulfilled ideas and more will be included, something Nas himself has confirmed:

“I’m going to say at least two of those ideas happened on this album,”…“We didn’t get a chance to do ’em when we were talking about ’em, but we finally got a chance to put those recordings together this year.”

Ur essentially getting a new Nas Premier album that is partially a Lost Tapes of them from 20 years ago. If they spun the block on those old records u already know it was stuff that was so that it had to make the album.

I really hope Primo comes correct with the beats on this one, because he's been hit or miss lately tbh. His beats on the De La album were fire and he sort of redeemed himself. But his stuff with Roc Marciano and Ransom was a little disappointing. I also wasn't a huge fan of Break Beats or Define my Name either. Very generic and the drums weren't hitting as hard as his old Gang Starr stuff.

I need to hear some shyt like Nas is Like, 2nd Childhood, Memory Lane, Come Get Me, and I Gave You Power.
