One of the worst things about modern times is that this is legit hard to do, even if you want to do it. The way everyone has everything on their phone, and everything is pulling for your attention span, and you don't have to have a physical piece of media anymore...actually sitting with any kind of music is difficult. Even my favorite stuff over the past 5 years I've never sat with to the same degree I did things when I actually had to go buy them, hang onto them, etc.

Every app and every part of life these days feels like it's trying to snatch you away from sitting with anything for more than a minute or two. I actively work on making my attention span less bad, and I try reading and different things to help, but my attention span is way worse than 10 years ago. If I'm not driving in the car, I have to be very mindful to not get distracted when doing anything like music listening, watching movies or shows, etc.

I get where you're coming from, though. And I don't disagree. But it's hard sometimes.

I dusted off my Discman and played some CDs last night (I still listen to CDs in the car and get them for the collection) and plugged my phone in away from me. And you are exactly right, the vibe was totally different. I'm going to do that more.

But seriously, Nas and Premier both understand the magnitude of what this means. I'm very harsh on my Nas takes because he is the Golden Child but I was very happy with the Hit-Boy albums bar Magic II and the mixing was subpar on all of them.

For those wanting it to be like the 90s and early 00s I get it but that time has passed. I don't get it, if you don't like something say your piece and keep it moving but that's not what happens in Nas threads - naysayers putting too much energy into something they don't like!

I'm very confident that this will be a tough album musically (I only worry about the mixing and sonics), and that goalposts will be moved. If it unanimously disappoints then the anti-Nas brigade will come out full force ha!

For now, we're all, positive ones and naysayers. No artists gets this much mass hysteria, not even Gee-Field and Mike Treese.

I've seen some dudes hate his album with Ransom but praise the Ran/Conductor Williams one. Preme's beats were better than Condictor's.

Like I get it, this is a Nas Stan hub and it annoys me too at times, but I ignored him because it's a waste of time like his mother giving birth to him

There were a lot of mixed reactions to his 2 projects this year with Ransom and Roc Marciano.

I thought the beats on both were largely dope, with only a couple of misses. But I saw a lot of people on here that felt disappointed by both projects. I liked 3/4 of the De La beats as well.

I thought the Ransom project was fire. I wish he saved some of those beats for Nas. The roc Marci project was a little disappointing but Roc killed it as usual

But to respond to you Mastamind Dude actually has me on "ignore" according to him but awhile back found himself in a thread of mine (the Papoose/Eazy that Block Captain thread to be exact laughing it up). He was in a thread in TLR where cats were mad cause I was posting new music and he in the thread yelling and said the aforementioned which I caught him in a lie.

That dude been getting shytted on for years. And like the majority of you guys are saying the Negative Rep points lets you know what type of time their on. And a dead giveaway. He's always had the contrary rap takes that booth poster punch holes in and he can't take it when he's wrong.A bunch of the OGs have made him look goofy all throughout this section.

Also with him in particular when the consensus is the a thread where everyone is in agreement and he's not he'll hurl insults. Bear in mind he's been around so this is an rather old dusty doing this.

Don't get me started on his takes in the Coliseum. That Pusha T fan is another one. With the Pusha T silhouette in his avi. That's an irritant. I usually ignore them. Clad and that one. As a general statement Pay them no mind .

If ya can make a positive comment over a 10 second beat and it’s ok but call others weird if they make a negative opinion on a 10 second beat, ya wonder why we get so many trolls on here. Some of ya act way too soft over minor negative comments and even entertain known trolls cus ya so easy to get to. Act like a fan, not a Barbie. Be men, not groupies. And realize it may be like 3-4 saying the same shyt compared to “nas fans”. If you gonna group them all together, call out names..

And know I ain’t even one that made any comment on that beat. I read more responses complaining about people having an opinion than I did on the actual opinions. I would have not noticed or skimmed thru it had not but for the many female written notes. damn ya grown ass men can be intolerable how feminine ya act.
