I mentioned the "3rd Childhood" and "NYSOM 3" joints on here, and a couple of the other joints, way back.

But a lot of the other songs didn't even have titles when we heard them. This version of the album is what we got to hear a few nights ago. Some joints were polished up since last listen, but this is gonna be special.

I actually meant to ask you fam, if I remember well the early version you heard months ago, you weren't too crazy about Preem's beats. Are those the same beats but polished up versions or different shyt?

We listened to every joint from his run with Hitboy together and she took me to the Nas gig in London for New Year for my birthday - I’ll be holding her in my heart when I bang Lightyears, I know she’ll be listening with me.

Of course i’m hyped for every song but for some reason the following are sticking out to me.

Pause Tapes- I have a feeling Nas about to go STUPID lyrical on this track. Like how back in the day when we had cassette tapes and i’d hear a Nas, Ghostface, Biggie verse that went so hard you had to pause the tape right quick and run it back.

Damn my brain read/linked Pause Tapes with Lost Tapes, but that shyt you mentioned would be crazy. Imagine some sort of Book of Rhymes but with Primo 90s beats/tapes

so a pause tape is when you make homemade recordings by hitting the pause and unpause button

qtip made the beat to one love using a pause tape


in regards to the album, what i heard was about 12 mins of nas and premier

i didnt see a tracklist or song length, i herd it out speakers

what i herd was the best nas album of all time, it was on par with illmatic

he was rapping at a highly skilled level, higher than magic and KD. I honestly think he used that run to perfect this album.

some verses reminded me of some kool g rap shyt, some rakim allah shyt, some melle melle

he was in the pocket perfectly and multiple times it felt like the beats were switching every fukking min

in the 12 mins i felt like i herd 30 primo tracks

he rapped in couplets, in 4 bar spurts, to actual scratches

primos beats were moment of truth level

it was literally the best shyt i ever heard

i was already a nas fan, this shyt gave me PTSD

Primo quality output is like 2 or 3 records out of 10. (My opinion, my taste)
