This was a huge deal back in the day. J-Live was one of the more popular underground artists and was preparing a classic concept album. I believe he was either signed to or about to sign to Def Jam and the album got shelved. This album/song was a hot topic back on SOHH in 2000.

Truth.

I used to listen to his sh*t a lot around '95-'96, when he dropped "Braggin' Writes". He was a teacher in Brooklyn, a little after he dropped all his early underground singles. I remember him popping up on all the college shows back then and speaking about rapping and being a school teacher, at the same time, lol. Really dope MC, at the time.

I know but it haunts me lol even a tentative would be satisfying. But I accepted that and I look forward to whatever Nas drops because I know what it is will get play from me for years.
