Dudes want him to release nothing but timeless classics without having to worry about paying for samples like it's the 90's. They also don't listen to 75% of the music he puts out and judge albums by snippets and single tracks.

Yeah the hate is weird and irrational.

I've seen some dudes hate his album with Ransom but praise the Ran/Conductor Williams one. Preme's beats were better than Conductor's.

I just ran back One of the Best Yet and Premier did a great job there. He knew he couldn't fukk that one up and he knows the assignment for this one.

It's weird to me how many people are openly rooting for this to suck. I don't get it. This isn't sports where one team winning means yours lost.
Got to remember that the internet commenters are still a tiny majority of the people who will be listening to this and negativity is always screamed louder and more than people with a positive view of anything.

3rd Childhood is interesting. I thought '..Twice A Child' from KD3 already had a similar theme, but I guess this will be a direct sequel, with the same characters still not grown up in their 50s.
It is not. Nas has said he has no plans to retire. He even said it on KD3

Like, I couldn't get out if I wanted to
All us rappers are trapped in it
We can't get out, you know what I'm sayin'?
'Til we over, 'til it's dead, 'til we in the dirt
He said he wants to do an album with Large Professor as well.

I'm not always plugged into the drama. Did Premier do something? He seems like a chill guy who loves hip hop but I see people calling him diabetic and washed and so on and it seems like there is some real hatred of him.

On this site specifically, the overwhelming majority of that just comes from goofy ass n*ggas that love deluding themselves into believing they aren't as old as they really are. Shytting on the older generation/eras of hip-hop is a way to pretend that they're in the know and a part of the current state of music and culture. It's not even about Premier IMO. They'd be saying the same shyt if Nas was doing a whole album with RZA, Easy Moe Bee, Marly Marl, or whomever they consider out of the loop and old and dusty.

Yep. It's not about Primo. It's about Nas. People were begging for Nas to rock with Preem when he was with Hit Boy. And now they shifted their sick twisted scrutiny of Nas' music on Primo. Nas had to battle with this his all career pretty much. It's almost unbelievable how he keeps releasing music with that ungrateful crowd. A lot of mc's would have quit a long time ago. Hell, Jay and Andre 3000 basically did

It's weird. I'm not a fan of Lil Wayne, but I don't go into threads hoping his albums suck. I hope his fans love his shyt to be honest. Good for them.

I honestly think most of his haters didn't listen to that Gang Starr album.

I love that album. Was bumping it last night

Next to Mobb Deep’s latest album, its the best posthumous Hip Hop album ever made in my opinion (no Life After Death doesn’t count)

The hate for Premier is something. Feel like people wanna hear this, just to complain about him.

It's a refusal to admit people will never get what they want. They don't want a Nas/Premo album. They want a 1995-2001 Nas/Premo album. Nas is not the same rapper he was then, and Premo isn't the producer was then. So people listen to snippets and hear the modern Nas flow and maybe a beat/sample they don't like - which sounds pretty slow, not gonna lie - and get mad.

They can never be satisfied because they want their childhood or youth back.
