Shine together what I needed.

Feel like the order of tracks not great. Some of the first few songs throw off the flow particularly with NYSOM which then underwhelms you as you move into the songs after

Nas rapping his ass off on this album. Premo I'm a lil underwhelmed with cause I feel like his shyt coulda been more knockin.
This is gonna be some engineer producer nerd out shyt, but IMO the biggest difference people hear with Preem is his switch in hardware and choice of engineers in the past 10-15 years. The MPC Renaissance sounds thinner than the earlier hardware that Preem used, and IMO that's the difference.

His style hasn't really changed. His sample selection is dope, his chops are basically the same, and his drum choices are very similar. I just feel like the texture and fullness and warmth in a lot of his beats on the more recent tracks and projects just isn't there.

That being said, I had only moderate expectations for this project, and it's definitely one of my favorite albums this year. I think they both delivered as good as they could be expected to deliver in 2025, and I'm very happy with this.
