Only solidifies Nas' legacy. Does nothing for Premier's for me.

When the song's hit on this, they hit in a way a lot of the Hit Boy stuff didn't but at the same time, I never felt like I couldn't wait to hear a remix when listening to the Hit Boy work like I did on some of these.

NY State of Mind pt 3, Junkie and 3rd Childhood are all hurt by the production despite Nas going off on them imo.

I think one thing I've noticed over the last few years is his engineer is kinda disservicing him. There's this hollow sound to his beats now whereas they used to be crunchier and thicker (:dame:) A lot of his recent output, the exact same beats would've been absolute bangers in 95-99 just off better mixing.

Yeah I gotta hear this in the whip tomorrow

I’m listening on my iPhone right now so I know it ain’t the same

But this is something I’ve noticed too with his beats over the years

I'm gonna have to give to some more listens tomorrow but My Life Is Real, Pause Tapes, Writers, Sons, Nasty Esco Nasir, Bouquet, Junkie, Shine Together and Third Childhood were my favorites off first listen
