Great album. Had to sit with it for a bit because you don't really expect it to start out how it did.

Yo I just ran back Pause Tapes again that shyt is fukkin ILL man. Lol. That shyt is vintage Nas right there. nikkas saying he ain't descriptive no more? Wtf? Lol.

Same. The bars from "it's time" when he's like "I breathe in I breathe out etc" felt so descriptive to me.

After listening to this album for a few days now I think preemo’s production actually carries the album. Nas is still Nas basically the goat but the truth is deep down inside we still want the Uzi in the army jacket lining Nas.

Git Ready is dope but sadly those lines about crypto. I hate to say it but they’re kind of corny. Nysom 3 he starts rapping about ring cameras and boutique shopping. Nas is in a different place now and it should be applauded but it doesn’t necessarily make for the best music. Thankfully there’s some straight fire like pause tapes and my story your story on here.

I hate crypto and so on so I totally get your take (and Ring is a growing part of the surveillance state). That said, it doesn't bother me too much for some reason, I just take it as typical hip hop boasting which isn't my favorite element of rap even though it's a huge part of it.
