I can't agree I despise that album man :dead:

That album is trash

Nas is my favorite rapper, but i definitely don’t like everything he does, and that’s okay. He’s a little too experimental, so I’m gonna dislike a lot of his shyt.

When I see nyggas praise a body of work that’s clearly trash, I don’t get it. I don’t understand the Stan shyt. That’s clearly his worst album.

I'm not buying the album anymore after yesterday  . I've already ordered 2 day one vinyls(one autographed), a day one cd, 2 amazon special edition vinyls, 2 standard edition cds, and 2 more standard edition vinyls (one autographed with comic). I'm done. I know that these will be out of print.

Lol dope!

I had ordered the Day Ones signed metallic sticker Vinyl ($250). But as soon as I saw the signed Vinyl became available with the actual cover art, I had to purchase it as well. ($150).

they will be collector's items after they sell out. I'm just old fashioned. I feel that if I like your album, I should buy it and support you. There is only ONE album I don't own that I like and the only reason I don't own it is because I slept on it and never heard it until the youtube era 20 years after it dropped. It's not available for sale anywhere. It's Bookie - Stressin album. Early Battlecat production from the late 90s.

Nas and Premier should have moved at least 25k off hype and legend status alone... It's an all around tragedy. Looks like even the stans passed on this as a whole. Sad way to end the legend series.

I think the mixed reception probably threw people off. That and it’s pretty hard to figure out how physical copies sell and streams work with all the new changes . Not everyone who brought from the store is from the states and counts to billboard but they sold out 2k off there . I don’t think Nas cares either way but it’s telling what happens also when you don’t promote before the release. For all the anticipation talk they also didn’t build awareness outside the net. Magic 2 and 3 were an indicator you can’t just throw albums out with little buil.

After the report today about YouTube not counting the charts in general I think charts remain indifferent but yeah damn shame considering he streams higher than people who sold more than him

Gotta say the more I listen to it the more and more I like it. The only track off top I don’t live is NYSOM3 and that’s just because I don’t like the way they did the chorus.

Album is super cohesive though which is such a rarity these days that I always appreciate it when I come across an album that pulls it off. The album just seamlessly flows from one track to the next throughout. Nas spazzed on Its Time, Shine Together, My Life Is Real, Madman…dude was flowing his ass off that “covers the knuckles with diamonds” flow was a thing of beauty. Not to mention that he also continues to push himself with conceptual tracks. Sons, Writers, Pause Tapes…all of those were unique tracks. He deserves credits for Writers especially because tracks like that where the artist is shouting out a million people can get boring fast but Nas and Preme kept it entertaining.

Speaking of Preme, I thought he killed it too. Maybe it wasn’t banger after banger but the man put together a cohesive album and by and large gave Nas dope shyt to rap to. I didn’t think any of them were whack but maybe one or two were a little too subdued for my tastes but they fit the subject matter. Shine Together had a beautiful beat imo.

Finally, shout out to AZ. He’s one of the most underrated and him and Nas killed it imo. Jada and Styles rightfully get a lot of credit for their back and forth flows but Nas and AZ were doing it before them and still do it better imo. Great track and dope beat.

Too soon for me to rate it but somewhere round 4.25-4.5 seems right to me. Nas still cares and still kills it which we should really appreciate because it’s super rare. Look at other artists his age you got someone like Jay who no longer cares or someone like Em who still cares but can no longer kill it, meanwhile Nas is putting in the work and dropping one dope project after another. :salute:

Regarding that first week number, nothing has come out yet. I’ve seen a couple of tweets saying 5k from random Drake stan accounts but nothing official or a news thing circulating, it probably low if it didn’t chart but yeah I ain’t seeing anything with the actual number either
