I still wonder if this is true how Premo is going to freak the beat. NYSOM2 was PERFECTION with how they handled the beat switch up. I really don’t know what else they could do with it.

Nah, but the Top 5 after 3 changes all the time, lol.
It's always been "The World is Yours" and "NYSOM" as the Top 2.
Then I have "The Message", "U Gotta Love It", "Suspect", "Deja Vu", "Made You Look", "Star Wars", "One Love", "Drunk By Myself", "Memory Lane", etc. It's all over the place depending on the day.

This MC has slowly been collecting props on the downlow in NYC. He added flavor to Main Source's "Live At The BBQ" and recently went "Back To The Grill" with MC Serch. Now after years as a guest star, Nasty Nas gets the chance to wreck a entire track without having to pass the mic.
Nas is one of those brothers who can drop freestyles on you without warning. And "Half TIme's" made-for-freestyling track (conservative bass, gritty snare and horn loop) is all Nas needs to catch wreck. His trademark is ill rhymes and punchlines galore...Nasty Nas will definitely be starting trouble in '93.

lost tapes isn't an album. It's a compilation of old unreleased songs and many were released on mixtapes and 12"s to DJs that we had from record pools back then. Some were songs left over form the I Am double disc and Stillmatic. As far as Stillmatic being better than Illmatic overall, the 2nd half of Stillmatic was levels below the 1st half. Side B, if you had the tape, wasn't as a good as side A.It was written is way better in terms of technical rhyming. Concepts. Production

and is a much better album than illmatic
. We had most of these songs already. Everybody's Crazy was on the European release of Stillmatic(I have a copy of that). songs like 'blaze a 50", "poppa was a playa", and "fetus" were given out in record pools long before Lost Tapes dropped. I still have my copies. On top of that, "fetus" was initially called "bellybutton window". The equivalent of this would be if 50 took his best mixtape joints leading up to GRODT and compiled them into a compilation.

people in the tristate area with access to bootleggers and super online people may have had the songs early, but most of us never heard any of those songs before. The only one I'd ever heard before was Everybody's Crazy.Actually it isn't
To most of the world, Lost Tapes felt like a brand new album. I know that will always be annoying to cats that heard a lot of it early, but when you say "we had access to most of these songs" ya'll were just lucky to live where you lived or have a lot of early online access. You were in the minority.
When Lost Tapes dropped, everyone in my high school thought it was a new Nas album except for 1-2 people that had heard a handful of the songs before on bootlegs.
