Well it’s been 24 hours I think it’s been enough time

I’m not going to say the album is trash because Nas is rapping too good for it to be trash - I am severely disappointed tho

I have the same feeling for this as I did Streets Disciple

To be honest, the Green Lantern mix of Nas and Preemo is so much better than this it’s sad - and those are verses and beats I’ve heard a million times :mjcry:

While I do enjoy the concepts Nas went through, and his rapping - the songs as a whole … idk … I feel the best songs on here would be the worst if it were on KD3,Magic etc ….

I love how Nas rapped on pause tapes , but the more I played that shyt the beat is so bad im even starting to lose my love for that. Twitter saying it’s the worst beat of all time … ah god :sadcam:

I talked mad shyt against hitboy … but it’s clear he’s a superior producer and just knows how to craft songs better at this point … feels like I was living in a mansion, got evicted and now living in a trailer park … HELP :francis:

Ah man … I really don’t know if I ever wanna hear this shyt again tbh …

2/5

Just so disappointed

To be honest F U C K the minority naysayers who don’t appreciate the album. Those who the album was made for appreciate it. Early reviews are positive. Its number 1 on itunes in 10 countries now. Number 4 on Apple Music (and climbing)

It was always going to be a tall order satisfying everyone and so Nas & Preme decided to do what felt right for THEM which was to make a project that paid homage to all five elements of this thing we call Hip Hop. Its a beautiful love letter to the pillars of the genre. That which every Artist, DJ, and Producer stands on when they make a dollar doing this.
I owe you an apology @Cladyclad

It’s not a minority. At all. Like I told @Ziggiy when I see people who been praising Nas like crazy for the last few years expressing their disappointment and I can hit a timeline and see nothing but disappointment it’s not a minority. What’s minority is the visual of people that ABSOLUTELY LOVE and expressing it. I barely seen any of that. And majority of the issue is with Premo. Either that or the people who been BEGGING for Premo all these years while ignoring any other producer that works with Nas in denial and trying to blame Nas. lol.

Especially compared to the outpouring of love for the De La and Mobb albums? Come on, it's obvious. We've had multiple veterans release albums this year that had everyone (fans, producers, rappers, etc) talking, starting with the Clipse. And I'm seeing none of that type of reaction right now.

Even accounting for the fact they could never give people what they wanted (IE 1999-2003 era shyt)...nah. Hell no.

People got tired of seeing Hit-Boy's name on the album credits and wanted something new. Magic 3 was a great album, but to this day, it's underrated because it came right after the worst album in the series and everyone was fantasy booking about the possible Premier or Alchemist album they were hoping to get.

You wanted the Premier album? Good. Now you have it and you hate it because it's not the Premier album you wanted. I'm not saying you have to like the album, but to call it the worst Nas album you ever heard and think the production is terrible.......I can't take stuff like that seriously. Someone literally said Nasir was better. Nasir, the album everyone hated and never gets brought up by anyone except to make a dumbass point. Now, people are talking about how much they liked that album and saying that's the last time they felt Nas lyrically. Go get Kanye and tell him to run it back one more time. I'm sure he'll do a way better job than Premier ever could. :russ:

Nas fans are like WWE fans. They see a guy like Hit-Boy getting pushed, winning titles, being in the main event. At first, they love him, then they get tired of him and want somebody else (Premier, Alchemist, Pete, etc.) getting that push. Now, Premier is in the main event like they wanted and they can't stand it because he's not someone they can champion anymore. They want Nas to make music with anybody except the guy he's currently working with, because the fantasy got taken away from them and now, they have to deal with the reality that they'll never get what they want. :dead:

There were multiple people on this forum who defended the Nasir album, which tells you everything you need to know about how certain people will defend anything no matter what. But a quick glance at twitter when that album came out told you everything you needed to know, if the music didn't. Nas was getting straight up clowned, the album was bad, and then we'd have people in here saying nah it's good.

It's not as pronounced now since fewer people care but the dominant Twitter reaction is that the beats are bad, Premo is washed, Nas did his thing, etc. This shyt came out and barely even made a dint on social media man. And what has been said has largely been about disappointment.
