You can argue the albums. You can’t even begin to argue the production It isn’t close
why does everything have to be a competition? Are we not allowed to like more than one album at a time? As soon as a new album drops today, someone IMMEDIATELY compares it to another album. WHY???? I bought 2 copies of Common/Pete Rock, and I've bought 2 copies of all Mass appeal releases. Nas/Primo will not make me listen to The Auditorium any less than The Auditorium will make me listen to Light Years any less. Both are very good projects

The reception of this album is wild, Nas derangement syndrome is really real :mjlol:

Now we're into the conspiracy theory phase: WHY IS MARCO POLO ALL OVER THIS????? WHAT ABOUT PREMOS MANAGER?????

Do yall even understand how ridiculous all this sounds

I feel so blessed that I was able to appreciate this album without all the nonsense

People actually saying pause tapes is the WOAT beat. Do you even like hip hop :why::why:

I don’t think yall get how big of a preme fan I am either. There’s some good beats in here but good isn’t good enough when ur producing Nas as preme. Still liking the album !! Nas did his thing it’s fire
Nas gets this with every album since Illmatic. I don't know how old you are, but I was 19 when IWW came out and by the reviews, including Pete rock in interviews, you'd swear it was the worst goddamn album of the year in '96. Pete rock was claiming it was a pop record because he didn't have any placements on it. The media, including the Source, gave it 4 mics and swore it was a lackluster release(the same issue they also dissed Reasonable Doubt claiming it wasn't anything special). Both albums got 4 mics. 29 years later they are looked at as the classics they are. Every Nas release after Illmatic has been getting shytted on, including Stillmatic, even though it got 5 mics in the Source. It is what it is

The same people that listen to trap music and act like that shyt is fire. I forgot the poster's name, but I remember him in Max B threads talking about his albums and songs and he's shytting on THIS album. Yes, a goddamn Max B fan, and I told him that too.

Nah, Nas definitely got some shyt for those Hit Boy albums as well. It wasn't the consensus they are dope. I bought all of those as well on cd. People want to say shyt for clicks and views. There are entire youtube channels dedicated to shytting on music to the point you're wondering if they like anything.

Yea it feels like Lost Tapes, Gods Son, and Life is Good are the only “uncontroversial” globally loved Nas albums from the moment they dropped, supported by every corner of his fanbase. Maybe Kings Disease 3 too.

Even Magic had people talking about Premier and Pete Rock could do that “sound” better and that Hit-Boy was just imitating. shyt was disgusting.

In 2-3 years when Nas drops the long-awaited AZ collaboration album produced by Large Professor and LES it’ll be the same shyt. People will bytch and complain about LP not having “IT” anymore and how Premier did a better job and how great its aged compared to the new shyt and how LES was never that great of a producer and it should have been all Trackmasters beats from their vault dating back to 97.

Just wait.

It's never going to stop. These are professional trolls we are dealing with These youtubers are doing this strictly for content. the album dropped online and not even 40 minutes after it dropped, there were youtube videos reviewing the whole album. Make sense of that for me!!.
