I fully disagree that 'Writers' is garbage, – its one the best beats on the album, and the song feels pretty good, but I can see how folks that arent really interested in graffiti might not care much. It is dope to hear the representation of graffiti culture, and his delivery is nice, but I can agree that the lyrics aren't really clever, he doesnt like flip it as much of a concept or anything, it basically is just him tagging a ton of graffiti artists names up in song form. And its cool that an artist of his stature is really shouting them all out like that, but I agree that it coulda maybe been cleverer to transcend it past just graffiti heads loving it

As far as the album as a whole: Sons & 3rd Childhood are great. Writers & Shine Together are cool. everything else is gonna have to grow on me more. But I know thats just my personal preference, others like other songs more, I'm glad we finally got the album if even just to keep the 4 songs I personally like. But, it should have and could have been a better album.
You think they care what yall think..its for 45 n up culture

In my opinion, and I may be wrong, I think the drums Primo used on writers is a tribute to the Illmatic intro, which was the Wild style sample. And Wild Style was the first hip hop movie about a writer.

“Remember When is the lowest form of conversation”
-Tony Soprano

I am reminded of this quote every time I listen to this album.

But that's like every Nas album in the last 15 years. Tell me I'm lyin :lolbron:

But at least he's added far more big money talk now which is a nice change to be honest.

Some of you dudes are beyond lame. Lmao at pulling out a phony, psuedo deep, Tony Soprano quote to express your dislike for an album. Yikes.

You must hate the Clipse and Jay for their "remember when" coke raps. Or Kendrick's "remember when" raps on Good Kid Maad City or J Cole's new track, for that matter.

Dudes who don't like this album are keeping this thread alive. How many times can you express the same thing? Will dudes be posting Jerry Seinfeld quotes next?

You should start your own site called “We Love Nas so Much and if you don’t you get kicked off” so you don’t have to be forced to endure minor criticisms.
