You have most definitely NOT seen any RD vinyl for sale anywhere. This is a 100% lie. Pure fiction.!! You are talking to someone that has personal friends who own record stores. I have been buying and collecting vinyl since before I was a teenager and I'm 48 now. It's only available by resellers of original pressings, that you will pay in the hundreds for, and import. It was initially released by Freeze records(and I have an original pressing cd with the gun art) and went out of print immediately. Europe had their own pressing that stayed in circulation from 97 and beyond(I lived there for 5 years) and then in 1998 after the success of Hard Knock Life, it was reissued on Def Jam with jay's face on the cd art. It was missing the umlaut over the "Y" on the cover of the cd. I have all 3 pressing of that on cd if you want me to post a pic. The RD vinyl currently isn't in circulation within the US because I'd own a copy. But I do own original pressings from jay singles in 96 such as "can't knock the hustle". So your post is wrong. It's not for sale everywhere or anywhereI don’t even know what you’re trying to argue anymore.
I’ve seen the RD vinyl everywhere even shirts of the RD vinyl cover at mall stores that sell this type of thing.
The original pressings go for huge money and are collectors items.
If you don’t think songs like Dead Presidents, Can I Live, D’Evils, Brooklyn’s Finest, Can’t Knock The Hustle etc are widely known than I really don’t know what to tell you.
If you’re one of those “RD wasn’t widely embraced when it was released so therefore that’s how I’ll always view it” guys that’s fine and like I said you’re more than entitled to this opinion.
