In reality there's no rules to rhyming, if it sounds good it is good. The Jacka used to do something similar where he would end the thought of the bar in the middle of the next line, you could tell from his style that he grew up on Cormega/Nas/etc. but it was ill how he flipped it on some west coast shyt.
"You nikkas hating, you'll never get far, like a shooting star
In my SLR, to the top what I'm heading for
My shyt'll never lock, swear to god that the lead'll soar
through the wind in your door, that's just the first shot
Here come 99 more, a gangsta is what you not
Come on, why you lying boy? Telling nikkas what you got
That's not who you really are, you wanna be me
I'm under in my rental car, loading my piece
I can't get loaded off tree no more, I need bo to make it stronger
can't wait no longer, I'm like a vampire
I can't shake the hunger, the one who nikkas hire
to take they life from 'em, we won't live forever mayne
Everybody coming, thinking bout what never came
The game never loved him, played the hand we was dealt
Ony God could judge him, hella paper I done felt
Never left the struggle, end up out here by myself
But I still love it"
Nas influenced a lot of writers though period, myself included.
