Nas ripped that shyt start to finish, Illmatic's production is very good some of the hottest producers in hip hop from the East Coast in 1994 teamed up you're talking Large Pro, Premo, Pete Rock, etc. The jazzyness of Life's A Bytch and the World is Yours, the piano loop on NY State of Mind, the hypnotic xylophone of One Love, the smoothness of Memory Lane, the grimyness of One Time 4 Your Mind and Represent, the triumphant sound of It Ain't Hard to Tell and Halftime the Wildstyle Intro with the train giving it that NY vibe Illmatic is the greatest album get that through your skull b, nobody is calling any other album the "bible of hip hop", nobody is remaking entire Pac albums, Illmatic got 5 Mics from every major publication when it dropped, Pac's best albums were 4 Mics and were re-rated to 5 when he died. Pac himself couldn't stop bumping Illmatic while he was in court, Ghost and Rae is talking about it influenced them to improve their rhymes, El-P felt Nas was the greatest to ever do it after listening to Illmatic. They got books and college courses about this album. The Game wanted this shyt so bad he shoplifted it, this never came out of Pusha T and Malice's whip, Kendrick called it the number one album, Lupe bumped this shyt for an entire summer everyday.
