There was a classic thread on the hamster about the intro to this song that extended to 10 pages
I remember there being a thread on the December 4th Intro on Jay-Z TBA that said his mom lips was so fat by the time she had her fourth son she didn't feel anything

I'm actually suprised people are just now getting around to the fact that lyrically Nas dropped heat on this album but it was still a dissapointment when it dropped. Nas is coming left a lot to be desired considering it was an Dre/NaS collabo. I'm sure @Art Barr can back my claims.

I remember that thread, first thing I thought of when I seen this thread.

People sayin they don't know why people hate on this track... the hate comes from what a Nas/Dre collab could have been at that time.

Track is very underwhelming. Yes, Nas killed it... but that beat is meh.

People fail to realize this beat is pretty much the beginning of Nas' struggle beat selection. I'd love to hear what else was on that tape Nas got from Dre... an interviewer should run that question by Dre (if it hasn't been asked already) and see if he recalls

I'm not a huge Dre fan anyways but this shyt was ok. I've owned this album since it came out and Nas Is Coming is probably my most skipped track.

Only on this site have I ever heard anyone shyt on Nas Is Coming! That's the track that made me want to buy the album back in '96 cause I remember the It Was Written commercial for the album and you could hear the beginning of the instrumental and the broads saying "Nas Is Coming" That's before I was even a Nas fan, It Was Written made me a Nas fan!
