not really a dre fan but always thought it was dope. along w/ 'been there, done that' these songs r way better than his more recent stuff.

People sayin they don't know why people hate on this track... the hate comes from what a Nas/Dre collab could have been at that time.
Track is very underwhelming. Yes, Nas killed it... but that beat is meh.
People fail to realize this beat is pretty much the beginning of Nas' struggle beat selection. I'd love to hear what else was on that tape Nas got from Dre... an interviewer should run that question by Dre (if it hasn't been asked already) and see if he recalls
I'm not a huge Dre fan anyways but this shyt was ok. I've owned this album since it came out and Nas Is Coming is probably my most skipped track.
FACTS *beanie sigel voice*y'all are buggin, this is one of the songs that got BETTER with time, most of yall ain't ever listen to this song on some nice speakers in the whip, try that and watch your perception change![]()
I was driving late night with the windows down and the system pounding out the bass. I had to listen to it on repeat five or six times before going on to the next track
Nas is Coming is an amazing record! Yeah it isn't perfect with the weird intro (AAAAGHH) and the hook is crap but everything else about the song is on point. The bass!y'all are buggin, this is one of the songs that got BETTER with time, most of yall ain't ever listen to this song on some nice speakers in the whip, try that and watch your perception change![]()
everything else is just pointless whining. So that's even worse lol... nikka gotta let the producer do his thing and just write raps... cause he's not helping himself. That's the thing. Nas rarely picks beats from tapes. Nas creates on the spot according to interviews he's done and what some of the producers he works with have said. There's an old Source interview where Nas talks about having a 18 track CD of Alchemist beats for Street's Disciple. The bulk of that album, as we all know, is produced by Salaam Remi. Salaam Remi says he makes himself available when Nas is ready to record, which explains why he's produced much of Nas's music.
Even though typically people grow up on music, Hip-hop is the only genre of music that according to Coli is for people aged 13-28. Before 11, you had to listen to some other genre and break into hip-hop.U had to be a cornball if u couldn't cop an album at 11. Lol.
