Superstar
the goat

This story is 100% true:
I was 16 years old (Yes I know I'm) and I was at the gym.
I'm doing my back work out and I hear the song for the very first time. At the time Nas was considered the extraterrestrial of rap, cuz the way he was rapping was truly next level.
So I hear the song for the first time and the lyrics captivated me...I had to stop my back work out.
"Imagine smoking weed in the streets without cops harassin'
Imagine going to court with no trial
Lifestyle cruising blue Bahama waters, no welfare supporters
More conscious of the way we raise our daughters
Days are shorter, nights are colder
Feeling like life is over, these snakes strike like a cobra....."
As soon as I hear the word cobra.....the phukin gym manager literally changes the phukin station to some techno music shyt!!!
I was like........
Luckily the gym is right down the block from my crib (yes, I still live there)....so I got up, and ran out the phukin gym.....
flew to my crib....and made it back in time for the third verse.
Nas is the only rapper in the world I ever did something like that for.
New Yorkers are like people from San Francisco. They don't give a fukk about anyone else.Oh so all Y'all NYC nikkas pop up for this, but no one could step into my thread when I asked where to stay and go during NYE up there?![]()

I CanHate Me Now and If I Ruled The World are his only hits. be serious.
Nas donest have hit that got played on the radio like uncle Hov did.
Ive never heard One Mic or Hip Hop Is Dead on any radio station down here. Jay Z has 4-5 hits from EVERY album he's ever produced and that got air play all over the country.
The message off of the same album
