I gave you power is an awesome record and is more lyrically dense but Me And My Girlfriend is the better overall song, easily.
From the beat and instrumentation, the hook on top of the lyrics as well, it's a much more complete experience.

I Gave You Power has a better hook... and the guitar strings on the pac joint are kinda corny.
Me and my Girlfriend is a better song. I Gave you power is Nas flexing his lyrical and storytelling ability, but it's not something I listen to over and over. If me and my girlfriend comes on I play that shyt all the way through. The beat, hook, lyrics are all Pac at his peak.
I disagree, especially about the strings, those add a dimension of beauty to the song that wouldn't be there.
As much as I love the entire song I would keep rewinding my tape to those parts specifically.
As for the hooks, to me the simplicity of the hook makes a song better more times than not.
