If Nas says "he's super, super proud of the album"... :wow:

Nas said it a few months back. He was working on 2 projects... one with Hitboy and another one he wasn't ready to speak on yet (presumably the one he's been working on for a few years). If Nas has decided to drop this album (his first true LP since LIG) ahead of the other album he's been working on... then it must be a special body of work.
Yeah there's definitely 2 albums because Alchemist did a couple joints for an upcoming Nas album, so it can't be that Hitboy one (which I expect to be fire. Hitboy has been killing it lately.)

Hit Boy is crazy underrated, a lot of people think he only does what they've heard. Cause he usually does turnt up singles for rappers, but his discography is quite long, even with a bunch of indie artists.

Mad interesting cause you don't know what type of shyt they might cook up

This may be the only good thing to happen in 2020.

2 tracks? I know he commented on a Nas post a few months back and seemed to imply he was on an upcoming Nas album.

Yeah Im nervous brehs:francis:

When I heard Nas was in the studio with Hit Boy quite regularly I was hoping it was just gonna be for vault purposes and then pick stuff later on wherever it may fit. He can make the type of beats you'd want Nas on (The Chauncy Hollis tape, 1train as an example) but I dont know what Nas vision is. Usually when he makes an album there is a theme and a motivation and this time around it seems like its is just "lets go in the studio with this guy and see what happens:mjlit:" Which I'll be honest I dont know in 2020 how thats gonna be. I didnt hate Lost Tapes 2 at all and I was kinda shocked it caught so much hate. Nasir I understand. But in both cases I dont think they were that bad but holy shyt you saw the reaction not just on social media but with the critics :picard: Maybe cause artist are more diligent or theres still hang up on things in his personal life but he also doesnt critical love he did before even for other albums that werent all that to listeners.

So I know dont man. Theres certain modern producers I'd like to see him with (Harry Fraud, Darringer) Theres guys hes had a chemistry with I'd like to see him with (Preem, Pete, Alc, Salaam) and more importantly theres exec producers I'd like to see handle his albums more (No ID)

Dont know what the themes are and thats gonna be the trick: Is he gonna even sound bored of himself rapping the same stuff. Do I want him at his age and perception of his rhyming bout that (You saw how Nasir got taken apart)

And its hella unusual for him to drop a project 3rd straight year in a row. Also its getting quite weird not knowing what to expect except on the day. Before that you always heard 5-6 cuts from his album a month or two out to get a feel for the project and nowadays I dont know what to expect

I guess we'll get the Benny joint but then also Burna, Davido and Fivio too?:patrice:
fukk the critcs breh. It's Nas the greatest of them all. You are the only Nas fan on here that i've noticed who's always obsessed with critics. WHO CARES. Nas is gonna have his naysayers no matter what he does. Dude in here is asking for a Nas album produced by Pete Rock :dead: some people gonna be unhappy regardless. Gotta ignore it.
