Only albums I’ll listen to at midnight are Kendrick and Nas, rap wise. Anyone else, even if it’s something I’m super hyped about like a Ka album or Roc Marci...I’ll peep after work the next day.

Would you listen at midnight for Jay? I think I probably would. I’m a night owl anyways. I’ll definitely listen at midnight if it’s from an artist that makes night time music. Currensy and Harry Fraud’s new joint was dope for a first time listen at night. I’m a big Evidence fan and his albums always sound better at night.

Also, it’s probably no surprise, but I’ll listen to any project fully produced by Madlib, Alchemist, or Pete Rock at midnight. Bandana got a midnight spin for example.

Good question but nah. I fukk with Jay, enjoyed 444 but it didn't cross my mind to get up at midnight to download and listen. Maybe if Hov dropped another Black Album type project with a list of every dope producer...I could see myself peeping that and enjoying the Coli fukkery.

I'm a big Spitta and Gibbs fan too and I'd wait until the next day. But both have released far more music in the last 5-10 years so it's prob because a Nas release feels like more of an "event" to me.
