NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Why should he?

He’s been there and done that.

People have to remember that a lot of these producers weren’t very supportive of Nas after Illmatic dropped. Pete Rock shytted on It Was Written because he was mad Nas didn’t choose any beats from him. Q-Tip told the Trackmasters “You’re ruining his career” when he heard If I Ruled The World. Large Professor said he felt a type of way about Nas ascending as an artist while he was in danger of being dropped.

Only LES and Premo kept their fukking mouths shut and never had no slick shyt to say about Nas post IWW. Why would Nas rush to work with these people who were literally AGAINST him utilizing his talent and platform to its fullest potential?

Besides that. An underrated aspect of Nas’s career and longevity has been his willingness to reinvent and experiment. Illmatic sounds nothing like It Was Written which sounds nothing like I am. Which sounds nothing like Nastradamus. Which sounds nothing like Stillmatic and so on and so forth. Even when he’s dabbled in working with Illmatic producers, American Way sounds nothing like One Love. Second Childhood sounds nothing like Memory Lane. Money Over Bullshyt sounds nothing like Life’s A bytch. The Art Of It sounds nothing like The World Is Yours.

If Nas continued to work with the same producers for his entire career he’d be Jeru The Damaja.
It’s not like people are satisfied anyway. Nas worked with Pete Rock, RZA, Alchemist, No ID, Toomp, Statik Selektah etc etc all on The Lost Tapes and people STILL complained. Lol

Somewhere In America is literally the ONLY song on MCHG that I liked. If Nas rapping over beats like that then we’re in for a treat.

All I need is the preorder link. I might even in go ahead and get a physical CD too. I haven’t purchased a physical CD since Untitled Unmastered in 2016
Damn breh, you didn't cop The Lost Tapes II physical ? :mjcry:

Hit Boy is a very capable producer. This is really all on Nas beat selection.

He has Dom Kennedy rapping over some fire. Unfortunately I think Don is horrible. Reminds me of a west coast French Montana

I’ll never understand how Dom fell off so hard. Breh went from being one of the slickest, smoothest rappers to just wasting storage on your phone/music player. How. His ear for beats never wavered tho.

yeah I thought he had potential but he’s just garbage

his ear for beats is top tier though

:russ:It lowkey pisses me off how he waste those beats. I mean he has had some absolute FIRE production. It’s the type of production I like to hear.

I’d be happy if Dom just selected Nas’ beats and moved the hell out the way
